Discover Concept Jane's Story

 We would like to introduce you to the Director of Concept Jane, Kimberley Camilleri—a multidisciplinary artist with over 20 years of industry experience. Kimberley built her career in photography with a focus on fashion and beauty, while also gaining professional expertise in painting, artistic direction, makeup design, and fashion design. Her uniquely stylized photography demanded a high level of physical engagement and experimentation with technique. In 2015, Kimberley suffered a stroke due to medical negligence, resulting in permanent impairments including hemiplegia, seizures, and brain damage, which significantly impacted her ability to continue photographing in her signature style. In response, she founded Concept Jane Pty Ltd as a platform to channel her diverse artistic background and deep industry knowledge into supporting other artists. Her mission now is to create innovative pathways for artists to grow, develop their craft, and generate sustainable income. 

 Founded in 2019 by multidisciplinary artist Kimberley Camilleri, Concept Jane emerged from a vision to turn personal adversity into collective opportunity. After a 20-year career in fashion and beauty photography was interrupted by a stroke caused by medical negligence, Kimberley redirected her expertise into creating a platform that supports and elevates artists. Since its inception, Concept Jane has aided over 50 artists across diverse fields including videography, painting, illustration, writing, photography, fashion design, makeup art, body art, acting, modelling, and graphic design. What began as a personal reinvention has evolved into a collaborative ecosystem dedicated to nurturing creative development, fostering income opportunities, and pushing the boundaries of artistic innovation. 

At Concept Jane, our mission is to foster cross-organizational collaboration by designing and delivering initiatives that connect artists with institutions, industry, and community. Through a three-tiered platform tailored to diverse artistic demographics, we aim to empower artists to generate sustainable income from their creative practice, address the growing demand for artistic roles within the Australian workforce, and collaborate with artists on innovative technologies and art.

 Concept Jane is evolving into a national and global force for creative advancement. Our future is grounded in the integration of art and emerging technologies, as we develop platforms that use cognitive mapping and data-driven insight to shape personalized art therapy, neurorehabilitation tools, and immersive creative experiences. We aim to expand our artist network, deepen partnerships with industry, health, and education sectors, and launch scalable digital products that empower artists to monetize their skills sustainably.
